All our products are labelled in line with strict regulations - including rules that apply to the declaration of allergens and separate rules covering the conditions that need to be met before a product can be labelled 'gluten free'.
Because barley is an allergen the regulations say it must be declared when it is present in the product either as an ingredient, such as barley malt extract, or because it is associated with an ingredient such as yeast extract, where the yeast is obtained from brewing. This means we have to declare the barley on the label, even when the amount of gluten it contains is insignificant.
Separately, all our products which are labelled as gluten free are tested to ensure they meet the legal requirement of having 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten or less, which all our stock pots do. This applies to the product as sold, and of course it is then diluted even further when the stock pot is made up with water or added to a meal.
We're pleased to say all our OXO Stock Pots carry the ‘Crossed Grain’ symbol - showing they are registered as a gluten free product with Coeliac UK - and you may find this section of their website useful

We hope this information gives you the reassurance you need to carry on enjoying our products.
It has been widely reported that the sunflower oil supply chain has been affected by the conflict in Ukraine. We would like to make our customers aware that we may substitute sunflower oil with alternative oils such as rapeseed oil in some of our products - a course of action we have agreed with the authorities (Trading Standards Primary Authority and Food Standards Agency). This will not impact the quality or taste of any of our products but if you would like to receive further details on the products impacted, please drop us an email via the Contact Us page.
Lamb OXO Cubes are no longer currently listed with any retailers; we're working with our retail partners to get it relisted again.
